Well, after 28 years I am back in a college classroom. After spending almost the last three decades behind a computer I am shocked at how little I know about them. I am currently writing a research paper about "cloud computing" which is a whole new concept to me. Even the guidelines for writing this paper seem foreign to me. I had never heard of citing sources or APA format. Back in my day if you wanted to know something you went to the library, looked up a book in the card catalog, found it and read it. Today if we need information it is in the palm of our hand or at the click of a mouse. You hear people always say how good our kids have it today; in my opinion this is one advantage they have over the older generations. Any of my three kids could probably run circles around me on the computer. I often asked my 12 year old for help in technical support.
This blog is part of my class assignment and I think if I can learn this anyone can.
